The other night I recorded about 10 different tracks, replacing tracks I recorded with an actual amp, I had zero issues with any kind of lag or latency before or after recording. Good luck running a session relying on punching into a track. Zoom settings are having random weird problems. They are all excellent and capable DAWs. However, after using Logic Pro X, it is hard to migrate to any other music software. I find myself able to create music with relative ease that the other DAWs just are not capable of.
The MIDI capabilities alone are second to none in Logic and the ability to compose music in all styles makes it the best of the best. Certain plug-ins can contribute to input monitoring latency, particularly dynamics plug-ins with look-ahead functions. If you're using these kinds of plug-ins in a project, you can minimize the latency they produce while recording using Low Latency Mode.
Low Latency Mode bypasses plug-ins as needed, so the amount of latency doesn't exceed the Limit setting in the Plug-in Latency section of the General Audio preferences of Logic Pro. Low latency mode is especially useful when you want to record a software instrument in a project that includes latency-inducing plug-ins. Reply Helpful Thread reply - more options Link to this Post. What should the delay be if any? Changed the buffer I thought the lower would make it easier to run and less latency Plugins? I use superior drummer for drums and bias for my guitar amp on a channel. Thanks for the help thus far and I look forward to more input.
